The landscape is changing faster than ever \u2013 the pandemic is accelerating the digital world’s growth and importance. In a year or two, the world will not be the same when we’re out of homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will not be entirely digital as many will speculate about the meta-verse. But it will undoubtedly be more digital or, as we say, more phygital (physical+ digital).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, you might take a substantial hit if you aren’t serious about your online presence. The pandemic will accelerate the internet world by several years, and you better accelerate with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The unfortunate and the amazing reality<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In every crisis, some people get hit, and the one’s who turn it to their advantage. Some businesses will close, others will get hit hard, and others will get out of it stronger. It’s just the reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I predict that businesses (especially local companies and professional services) that have and continue to neglect digital marketing will either take huge losses or close completely. How do I know? I saw it every day, before the pandemic, just at a slower pace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So it’s not just about building brand awareness and getting sales; it’s a matter of staying afloat. It’s been part of the game for quite a long time. Some people just didn’t want to accept it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re one of these people, there is good news \u2013 since most of the attention is online, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone is at home, and all stores are closed. All the attention is online; you just need to tap into it. During the pandemic, people will learn to use technology for the things they didn’t before. Some online experiences likely will replace many physical experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sell online<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you sell physical products and don’t have an e-commerce store, it’s time to create one<\/a>. You can use Shopify or Woocommerce. Make sure to offer fast delivery, and focus on good user and checkout experiences. Also, try to list your products on Etsy, Amazon, eBay, and other online retailers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Build awareness<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Talk about the benefits, do demos, share tips and ideas, and do popular trends to reach more customers at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
