What is CEO?

Definition and meaning of CEO:

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is the highest-ranking person in a company.

CEO’s primary responsibilities include:

  • Making significant decisions for the company.
  • Setting strategies and goals.
  • Managing the operations and resources of the company.
  • Acting as the public face of the organization.

CEOs report to the Board of Directors, responsible for hiring, firing, and supervising them.

While CEOs have a lot of power and responsibility, they are not always the company’s founder.

Many organizations hire CEOs from outside companies to bring new perspectives and ideas.

All CEOs provide strong leadership and vision for their organization.
