What is Domain Authority?

Definition and meaning of Domain Authority:

Domain Authority (DA) is a ranking score that determines a website’s authority on the internet.

DA’s scores

Every website has a DA score from 1 to 100, with 1 being the lowest and 100 being the highest. The higher a website’s DA, the more likely it is to rank well in search engine results pages (SERPs).

Domain authority is based on many factors. Here are a few examples:

  • website’s age
  • backlink profile
  • quality and relevance of backlinks
  • content’s quality
  • social signals
  • SEO performance

While DA is not an absolute measure of success, it is important to consider when doing SEO. In general, websites with higher DA are more likely to rank SERPS than those with a lower DA.
