What is Graphic Design?

Definition and meaning of Graphic Design:

Graphic design is the process of simplifying and communicating information through visual art. It’s used in marketing, advertising, branding, and retail. Graphic design is all around us – in the form of logos, websites, packaging, and airport navigation.

Graphic design is often confused with digital art. But it’s not just about arranging text and visual elements on an artboard. It’s a science of structure, hierarchy, imagery, color, and typography.

Real graphic designers are excellent communicators. They use strategy, art, and messaging to simplify and convey complex information.
