What is Outbound Marketing?

Definition and meaning of Outbound Marketing:

Outbound marketing is an approach that focuses on intrusive methods like cold-calling, email blasts, and ads. In comparison, inbound marketing focuses on organic strategies like SEO and social media.

Outbound methods usually aim to reach as many people as possible, hoping that some will buy.

The problem is that with outbound practice, people get annoyed. No one likes spam, irrelevant offers, and intrusive calls. That said, marketers and salespeople begin finding ways to make outbound more organic and relevant. They send personalized emails that bring value to people.

So if done right, it can be a powerful strategy to get results. Also, it’s always great to combine outbound and inbound strategies.
