What is Web page?
Definition and meaning of Web page:
A webpage is a document (usually HTML) you access through a web browser, like Chrome, Safari, or Edge.
Like other documents, web pages provide information. They can include text, images, videos, and other forms of multimedia.
Pages were static during the Web 1.0 era, meaning we could only look at them. In Web 2.0, we can now interact with the content – leave likes, write comments, and buy products.
Multiple interlinked web pages under the same domain are called a website. Stand-alone pages are called microsites or landing pages.
Web pages are usually created with:
- HTML – markup language that creates structure for the page content
- CSS – code that sets visual styles for HTML elements and content
- JavaScript – code that adds functionality to the page
